I was suppose to blog about this right after the con but was so dead tired and I’ve got work the day after so it got a bit late to blog XD But still it’s a must to blog everything because of my happiness and excitement XD Please be ready for a long, picture heavy blog post XD Ahahahaha!

So my friends (work colleagues) and I went to Cosplay Mania 2014 held in SMX Convention last October 5, 2014. This was already day 2 of the event. My original plan was to go on D-1 to buy merch but wasn’t able to do so due to work OT and the things need to be done for my cosplay :( So everything was done on D-2.

I went as Freya Crescent (human ver.) from Final Fantasy IX. Been a fan of this game ever since (PS1 era) and got really an eye over Freya. Thankfully, got a chance to cosplay her with the help of my friends :)

This was planned a year ago. It was CosMania'13 that my friends decided to cosplay FF9 group. Originally, we are five but due to unexpected crisis and events, only three of us we’re able to do it. Too bad, it wasn’t really a FF9 group but it was okay since we did really had fun :)

We had (from left-right) Vivi, Freya, Wendy Marvel (Fairy Tail) and Zidane. The four of us we’re all together roaming around the area, looking for fellow workmates who went on that day. Glad we found some! :)

So before the event, I kinda had a hard time making that weapon and the hat XD Since I only got limited time due to work OTs, I really need to manage everything as fast as I can before the deadline XD Thankfully I was able to finish everything and was satisfied with my latest works :)

And so this is Freya’s spear. I know, not quite like the one in the game but I was happy I was able to make something like this! XD It’s an achievement! You know how happy you are if you had made something that’s worth your time XD Ahahaha~ Sorry for the drama but this is really what I feel XD

It wasn’t that hard to make because it wasn’t really that complicated. But when I was working on this, I accidentally cut my pinky finger. It was so deep that blood keep gushing. I was nervous because it was my first time too XD I didn’t felt pain, I guess I became numb but I was really nervous XD and so I learned my lesson to be careful with sharp things XD LOLZ!

I can say this was the hardest part to make. Freya’s hat. It was suppose to be included to make by my seamstress but she told me a week before she couldn’t do it and to look for someone else. I guess she’s having a hard time for this one. And I thought “I don’t have time to look for another” so I decided to make it by myself. I never thought I could do it in  one day! XD I was so satisfied with the outcome too. It doesn’t really look like Freya’s but you can see similarities XD *sigeee, push paaaa* Ahahaha! I’m happy with this anyway :D

This wasn’t made by me but my seamstress of course. She did an awesome job with this! Thank you! I kinda want to learn to make costumes too so I guess I should study sewing? :D Yep, someday, I will :D

And here we go on D-2 of CosManiaaaaa~ It was a long tiring day but full of fun~ I woke up around 5am and left around 7am. I had to take a bus because the spear will be a bother inside the FX. I arrive around quarter to 10am and meet-up with friends. The rest was all the fun! :D

This was our shoot from a professional photographer. It was my first time doing this so I was kinda nervous posing in front of the camera. I’m normally the one taking pictures (no, I’m not a photographer either. I just love taking pictures) and it’s different when you take a random pics with yourself so this is so new to me :D I’m glad it came out too good for me! So thank you sir Fritz. Crediting you big time here in my blog :D

Aside from looking for fellow workmates, I was also looking for online friends who went on the event D-2 :) Luckily I bump at Ate Nagi! I was the one who approached her first since I guess she won’t recognize me :D I normally don’t do that but I don’t know what happen XD When I saw her, I shouted “ATE NAGI!!! IT’S ME XIAN!!!” Hahahaha! Kinda awkward but happy to finally met her! XD We’ve been blog buddies since I was in HS and this is the first time I met her XD Hopefully next time again :D Visit her blog @ JapaneseNagi

And there’s no one else. I couldn’t find anyone with all the crowd and all. My feet was killing me too so we had to stop several times XD *sorry guys* But we we’re able to find colleagues in the area. Probably because we got contacts and all :D

Pictures were by the way from my friends. I have not taken any photos during the event because I don’t have my camera and it’s kinda hard so to be less hassle. I let my friends do the picture taking XD

So overall it was a fun event specially when you’re with friends! :D It was nice to know some people can recognize who am I that day XDD Thank youuuu :3 Makes me want to do it more XDDD Currently thinking of doing Kamatari Honjo or from SnK~ XDD Wish me luck! 8D

PS: I left the con around 6pm because another event was held on the same place but different function room!! It was KNation!!! XD Sorry~ my otaku life and kpopper life collides on the same date! I just can’t help it but to attend both XD But anyways, so happy to see U-KISS and BIGSTAR!!! <3
